Foods in Phukets

phuket-cityWe all know that Thailand has so many attractions. This country has so many beautiful places that surely would attract so many tourists to visit there. One of the most beautiful places in Thailand is Phuket. This is the largest island in Thailand that has so many excellent beautiful places. Many people would love to visit those beaches and have so good times there.

But the beaches are not the only attractions of Phuket. There are so many interesting things in there, including the food. It has so many kinds of foods that surely would match to many people taste. If you visit there, you must taste the Fried or Boiled Noodle Dishes. This food usually served with pork or chicken. You should also try the Khanom Jeen. This is a version of noodles. In this place the noodles were served with a spicy curry sauce plus some fresh vegetables.

You should also try the Narm Phrik Kung Siap. This is a mix between dried chili and smoked chili. The Pad Kanaa Moo Grob would be the other kind of food that you should try. There are so many excellent foods in Phuket. If you visit this island, you must try those foods.

Thailand Quiksilver Surf Series

DIMINUTIVE Annissa Flynn found the waves just too big on Sunday in the final event of the Thailand Quiksilver Surf Series on Kata beach. Despite winning the overall championship, 11-year-old surfing sensation Miss Flynn managed to place just fourth in the Gromits division and failed to place in the woman’s division final.

Previous expectations for Anissa were as high as the waves of the day, as Annissa dominated both the Gromits and woman’s division of the previous event held at Kamala beach.

14-year-old Oliver Penmit won the Gromit’s division, Annissa’s father, Michael said “He deserved it; he’s a great, strong little surfer.”

The winner of the Longboard division was Aaron from the U.S, while the Shortboard division was taken by Jamie Smith.

The final day of the Thailand Quiksilver Surf Event held at Kata beach was also attended by surfing celebrity, Jake “the snake” Patterson, who entertained the crowds with flips and jumps in an intermission between rounds.

The waves in Phuket during the monsoon season are already causing ripples in the surfing community and the reputation is likely to grow as more people come to Phuket for a holiday and end up realizing that the surf is well and truly up.

The nearest railway station of Phuket is located in Surat Thani at distance of about 5 hours from the city. Besides, there are regular buses available to mainland destinations like Bangkok, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Satun, Krabi and so on. Ferry services also connect this city with other destinations like Ko Phi Phi and Krabi.

The main places of interest for international tourists in Phuket are generally the beaches and the bars. But, Phuket does have few good places to see like the Phuket Town, Wat Chalong Buddhist temple and Phuket Fantasea show at Kamala Beach. Other activities to do here include enjoying elephant ride, visiting animal sanctuaries, playing golf, experiencing spa and different water sports.
