Thailand Extend Night Hours

Thailand extending  the night hours in Bangkok and 23 provinces for the next four days after anti-government protests, said a senior security official told reporters.

“Cabinet has approved extension of the curfew from midnight to 4:00 o’clock, from 25 to 28 May,” said Secretary General of Thai National Security Council Tawil Pleansri, after a government meeting, as quoted from the AFP.

Libya and Thailand are among 14 nations elected as new members of the UN Human Rights Council, Thursday, in the selection of human rights advocates criticized as being uncompetitive and “immature.”
