Indonesia Embassy in Thailand not yet on SP3


Attorney General’s Office (AGO) said until now the case of alleged corruption Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (Embassy) to Thailand has not stopped investigation (SP3).

“Until the investigation has not yet been terminated, and still exists in the attorney general’s desk,” said Attorney General Young Special Crime (Jampidsus), Marwan Effendy, in Jakarta, Monday.

Previously, investigators at Jampidsus propose to the Attorney General to stop the investigation of these cases, because there is no indication the alleged practices of corruption.

Three suspects in the case, namely, M Hatta (RI Ambassador to Thailand), Djumantoro Purbo (deputy ambassador of Indonesia to Thailand) and Suhaeni (Treasurer Embassy of Thailand).

Cases were allegedly began when the Thai Embassy in Fiscal Year Budget Project Entry List (DIPA) in 2008 leaving a DIPA budget amounting to Rp2, 5 billion.
