Phuket vagrants develop rugby XV RSA Fellowship


ROOSTERS WANT YOU: Pat Cotter.Cocks want you: Pat Cotter. PHUKET: club of South African rugby that Kriel roosters strengthened existing links with Phuket by an agreement to develop a programme of scholarships for young promising from inking players.

The roosters of Kriel, in Pretoria, were regular participants in the Phuket International Rugby 10s tournament, winning in 2010 and reaching the final of this years competition.

Several teams noticed the increase in the quantity and quality of the Thai players during the recent event. Several people must take credit for doing so, including Pat Cotter, Mike Whippy, Richard folds, Ain Prom-MaPanom, Somchai Sriwichai.

Organizer of the s 10, Pat Cotter said Rudi Koekemoer and Gerhard De Wet, members of the Committee RFC Kriel, talk about the difficulty to make the sport more.

RFC Kriel proposed two promising players to work and train in South Africa for three months. If Kriel coaches and players see potential during the test period and then the club will extend their stay and continue their development, said Pat.

The talent will receive a visa for 90 days for South Africa and earn their interview with Gerhard on one of its many farms. Accommodation, meals and a salary will be provided. The boys will train with the club three times a week and get finally to the opportunity to play in the second rugby team.

This will be a permanent program that will give the players something of real and exciting target.
