Tuk – tuk drivers to surrender to the police in Phuket

He refused to name the four pilots.

?I have spoke to my Commander before I can reveal their names to the media, ?, he said.

The men were charged with traffic obstruction, Chief of Police Patong Col Arayapan Pukbuakao said earlier that the Gazette is a fine of not more than 1,000 baht.

?As that they themselves have surrendered to the police, they were released. They must come to plead guilty or to deny the charges, ? Lt Col Kittipong said.

?If accept the charges, they?ll pay 1,000 – baht fine each. If they deny the charges, their case will be delivered to the Court for suite to give, ?, he added.

Lt col Kittipong explained that the minor charges were brought against drivers under the provisions of the order of Maj Gen Pekad Tantipong for a change in local tuk – tuk conduct drivers? ?step by step?.

?We start using minor charges with light sentences only, which is a warning for them. Now, let?s see if they behave.

?If that they do not lead themselves or if they block the road once again, we will collect charges with more severe penalties to deal with.

Phuket for speed and traffic cameras

Phuket forecast: rain continue through the weekend
